Meet Aida Yashar-Matian DDS

Dr. Aida Yashar-Matian graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) School of Dentistry, where she was honored with several awards for academic excellence and received her Masters of Science (M.S.) degree in Oral Biology simultaneously with her Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.). Following her dental training, she completed a three year post-graduate residency program in Periodontics and Implant Surgery at University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where she got extra training and License to deliver intravenous (IV) sedation for patient comfort and relaxation. She received several awards for her academic excellence and her research involving The Osteogenic effect of Vasopressin on bone regeneration and stem cells. Dr. Yashar served as a faculty member in the section of Periodontics at UCLA and was involved with training students and dentists in treatment planning and diagnosis of periodontal disease and gum surgery. She also maintains a private practice in Periodontics and implant Dentistry in Woodland Hills and Torrance.

Dr. Aida Yashar-Matian is actively involved in numerous professional organization including the Academy of Osteointegration (AO), American Academy of Periodontology (AAP), American Dental Association (ADA), California Society of Periodontics (CSP), California Dental Association (CDA), San Fernando Dental Society (SFDS) and West Valley Surgical and Prosthetic Implant Study Club.
